Hey everybody,
Just thinking ahead to interview season.
Got the suit, shoes and the tie but still deciding on the shirt.
French cuffs: yay or nay?

Nay, unless you have really understated cuff-links. Ostentatious displays of dress may make you memorable... in an inappropriate way.

agreed on not being ostentatious. you want the parts of your application to stand out, not your shirt.

just fyi, this question should be posted in the pre-allopathic forum.

maybe he means for residency interviews?

I don't think the interviewers will give your attire a second thought unless something strikes them as unusual.

Yes, I am a medical student and was thinking ahead to residency interviews.
Thanks for all the advice guys. :D

Scrubs all the way...with fresh lamb's blood to make it look like you were in teh OR

But seriously, no one is going to give two craps about your cuffs. As long as you look clean cut and don't try to stand out so much that you end up looking goofy, no one will care. Wear a suit, either blue or black. Wear a shirt in one of the traditional business colors. Wear a matching tie. Done.

Some skull and cross bone cufflinks should round out the ensemble.
