I was wondering what the standard process for interview invites is. Email? USPS mail? Phone call? (OK - I know it's probably not a phone call but had to throw that out there) Does it vary by school?

They didn't do interviews the year I had applied, but I was contacted by phone when they took me from the waiting list.

For me, I applied only to one school (early decision). When they realized they wanted to interview me, I was sent an email. The emails stated the wanted to interview me, gave the date/time/general information, then they wanted me to confirm back (through phone or email). I went to the interview, which was about six hours.... interview, campus tour, information, free lunch, etc. They notified me within 10 days of acceptance. This was early decision so the process was quite fast for me, it could be much longer with different schools and regular admission status. Irregardless, however; I would recommend applying as eary as possible for your best chances of being accepted.

what's so odd about interview invites via phone calls? Loma Linda called me on my cell, and last year, so did Howard. It's the quickest way to get hold of anyone these days, faster than email because you still have to find internet access. Well, unless you're at work and can't pick up your phone, but you have your gmail window open on the computer 😀

It varies by school and all 3 methods are used. For instance, UOP does it via mail, Midwestern and Pacific by e-mail, and VCU uses the phone.
