On average, how many students are interviewed per medical school seat?

I heard it was around 25% but I coud be wrong.

Anyone have any info that could elucidate that? 🙄🙄🙄

Most schools interview about 1000 students.

So, anywhere from 7.5% to 30% I suppose.

Varies widely, Columbia interviewed 1101 students for 296 acceptances (and 153 enrolled). Vanderbilt, which only gives secondaries to those who get interviews will interview many more per acceptance. This is all in MSAR -- you just have to make a guess as to what their yield % is, since they only give interview and enrolled numbers, no accepted numbers.

Interview numbers are available in the MSAR. Your odds if getting an interview vary by school, and whether you are in-state or OOS at a state school. If you get an interview, most schools accept between 1/4 and 2/3 of the people they interview (again, depends on school and IS/OOS status). Acceptance numbers are available in the online USNews med school rankings
