Interview question about group work

This is such a silly question but I would like to get some adcoms' opinions on this...

I noticed that one of the more common interview questions ask you about how you work in a "group setting" - Does working in a 2-people group (yourself and another person) count as "group work"?

Yeah but in abstract algebra, the trivial group (whose only element is the identity element under any operation st e*e=e) is the smallest possible group.

I have but my better examples are working in a 2-person group settings.
