I'm so glad I'm not the only neurotic one out there. I thought I was bad stalking the poor mailman when I applied to med school, but this is just downright absurb. Then somebody had to go and post an interview on the WEEKEND...now I won't have any time off from obsessively checking my computer every fifteen minutes until Mid-March. 😛

received an invitation for UIC today, they'll be sending out dates next week.

Columbia confirmed my date today.

those of you with SUNY-Downstate invites, have you called to schedule a date yet? totally forgot to do that today...

How many interviews do you plan on attending overall?
 
I plan on going on 10-12 interviews, which means that some of the ones I've scheduled are already on the chopping block. I ended up applying to too many, mostly b/c of the collective fear this year.

i wonder if we should start a thread on 'interviews' I'll not be attending... perhaps this would give some ppl on here more hope. for example, i know that some programs i applied to in the west (out of this apply 'far and wide' craze i will certainly be dropping if i get 10-12 interviews on the 'eastern' areas). whtch do u all think?

I will do the same when the "critical #" of programs have invited me to interview to give the others waiting a chance.

congrats on the MGH interview. when did u submit ur application? do u consider yourself a very competitive applicant? just curious who MGH is inviting early.
 
Received UVA, WashStL, MC of GA, and GWU yesterday via email
others So Far: UAB, JHU, Columb., UFla, UTSA, UNM

Many are offering the same interview dates

I "think" I am a competitive applicant. I am however unsure what that truly means as my attendings seem to have no idea, past applicants only give so much info on their objective data and this year seems a little challenging...

I submitted 9/1 and I think they downloaded then. My app was 100% complete with exception of MSPE on 9/19, I believe.

MUSC (South Carolina) by email. Now MUSC and U New mexico. Still no LORs, transcripts, or anything besides ERAS.

I did an away rotation at MUSC and the PD said they would not start offering interveiws until late. 😕 Congrats. You must have an awesome board score. 👍
