well, i prefer the email rejection. if i am VERY interested in a program, i will send a follow up after the rejection to express my regret, and reiterate my sincere interest in that specific program, and offer to be available if they still have any interview spots. it can't hurt, and i think adding a little personal touch makes it tougher to reject. just my way of handling it...
they didn't give a reason, just said they were unable to offer an invite, best of luck.
i am hoping that october heats up. i had a lot of action the first few weeks, wound up with seven solid interviews, which is great! but, i still have a few out there that i am hoping will hop on it in october. at this rate, i will have a full schedule before dean's letter (i hope!)...
