Hey guys,
it's very pleasing to meet you all,, let me introduce myself =)
i'm a reapplicant for 2009 cycle. i applied for 2007 cycle, was waitlisted in UIC, IU, SIU, and Creighton, but was rejected.
At the time of previous application, my DAT was 19(AA)/20(PAT)/19(TS), and gpa of around 3.3/3.0(science). As i'm planning to take another DAT in august (but i didn't mention about future DAT in the application cuz i don't want them to hold the review until Aug), my main concern is my gpa's. i believe my gpa's has been improved since the previous application cuz that gpa didn't include my last semester grades for senior year, and i took 3 science courses and got A's. After getting rejected, i contacted schools in which i was waitlisted, and UIC and Creighton told me that the only thing was my science gpa and i shouldn't have any problem if i keep showing the improvements.
However, the grades for the courses that i'm currently taking are threatening me again!!! =( i'm taking 2 science courses, which the grades will be out around mid-june (i'm in quarter system now), and i am afraid i'll get C's.... i already requested transcripts, so hopefully they start reviewing the application before they see my C's,, but they will eventually see the grades when it comes to the update season, right? could anyone tell me how to avoid sending those grades? should i withdraw before i really get C's?
My another concern is the schools i apply to. I chose 30 schools so far, which i think is too many. i'm an illinois resident by the way.
could you guys please take a look at the list and help me decide which ones to take out?
