Is anyone else stressed about all the things they have to do before school starts? I'll be starting in June so I thought that my next two months would be relaxing but there are so many things I still have to do.

Try to get your stuff done ASAP and RELAX! This will be your last chance to be stress-free. Sleep in every day and be carefree for the next 2 months! Trust me. Once you start school, you'll wish you had.

I wouldn't have listened to you... except your username/avatar were all too appropriate for your advice. Well said, rafiki! 🙂

Thanks...I kinda wish I can quit my job earlier but then I really want to save money and the company needs my help as well. I'm excited to start school but I'm also stressed about how little time I have left.

What school starts in June... Do you at least get off in April or something?

I'm definitely bugging out. I haven't even concretely decided on a school but as the days are winding down, I wish I could just stop my silly restaurant job and enjoy myself. The days are just flying by!

Everything submitted and apartment found. Just on cruise control until school starts. There's really not that much to do? I do loathe moving tho.

No but I'm in the PhD program.
Weren't you worrying about the OOS tuition in another thread? Is tuition not free for DO/PhD programs like it is in MD/PhD programs? Confused...

I'm just not looking forward to having to get all of my medical stuff done because I'm pretty sure I lost all my records. I'm also going to be doing my online biochem class for a good portion of the summer.

Yeah it is. I just got accepted.

Super stressed out man. Moving several states away with the fam ain't easy...

Yes. Lol. I've only done Fafsa and scholarship. I gotta do that background check/ medical crap ASAP!

I will definitely quit my job 2-3 weeks prior starting school... I will to get all my stuff do next month since my classes start in June.

I'm doing my biochem class now 🙁

Also I just realized we need a physical before school

I like to get stuff out of the way ASAP 😉

Literally took me one afternoon to do all the medical stuff and background check takes 5 minutes.
do you just go to the local police office to do the background?

Taking the month of July to go back home 700 miles to my hometown, another 500 miles back to my wife's hometown, and then back the whole 1200 to our home to pack up and move to my new home 1300 miles away in another direction.

Thankfully I just nailed down a great little place so I can stop pre-stressing about getting a landing location.

Stressing out too. Taking 2 classes now (a&p and biochem) and looking for apartments and elementary schools and afterschool programs for my child. Moving away from my family for the first time and it'll just be me and my daughter now! Then we've gotta do fafsa, physicals, background checks... Will probably work until the end of June.

Yeah, I've been somewhat stressed out about this since my acceptance! We'll be moving 4,300 miles across country to a place where we know almost nobody. My husband and I were born and raised in Alaska, and all four of our children were born here. He'll be leaving his engineering job and becoming a stay at home dad. Between the actual moving and the lifestyle change we're about to embark upon, I'd say I'm a little stressed about it!

Varies by school (they each might have different requirements). Some will require FBI clearance/state background checks, while others have a specific agency/company that you have to do your background check through. Check with your school, the details should be in the welcome packet or something similar.

Speaking of stress free, I'm blew off my classes tomorrow to come chill with some friends in Vegas! 😀

I'm still in school and since I'm a non-science major, I'm taking two Management courses, a Supply Chain/IT course, and Law/Ethics for Business right now to finish up my degree.
It is SO HARD to stay motivated when the prof drones on about business strategy or operations/logistics; I keep daydreaming about anatomy!!!

So yeah I'm only stressed about staying motivated. Otherwise, I'm almost home free!
