Does this look competitive?
and I will submit my application next week. is this too late?

Apply to your state school and few others around your states. Your application will be somewhat late, but if you don't apply you will never know.

Besides those stats what else do you have to offer? volunteer, research experiences, etc.

Might as well throw your application out to a few schools, you wont lose out on a ton of money, you'll prolly get more post dec. 1st interviews but who knows you might get in and be glad you applied. I say do it.

Some schools are already giving post Dec invite dates and most likely won't consider many applicants unless they have very strong stats.
Some schools have not even started looking at appl and known to keep interviewing well into spring.
Your chances will be different if you had applied early June but if you can afford it why not try and see....

you should definitely apply! your stats aren't bad, so you definitely stand a chance. good luck!

definitely apply! your stats are not bad at all. to be really honest, you're on the late end of regular. not truly late by any means. if it was oct 1, then that would be a different story. i think on SDN, most ppl are gunners and feel like if you don't have a 22+ AA and TS and a 3.5 then you can't get in places unless you applied jun 2nd.

you'll get interviews (especially your state school). 19AA is not shabby, and the grand majority of people don't make over 20 or 21 AA. There is a reason why MOST school's average DATs are between 18 and 21. Mostly 19 and 20.

And if you have good extracurriculars, shadowing and volunteer stuff, you'll be fine.

I know plenty ppl who got into multiple schools with worse stats than you and applied after sept 15th

I agree....I feel this site can really bring you down. Most people on here make you feel like your late and that you have to get 20+ stats on the DAT....but it just isn't true. For example, my AADSAS was mailed 8/24 and I got a pre-dec interview offer already....just 4 days after mailing and with DAT:18/19/18!
Since I'm on the subject it also bothers me when people are upset with an AA of 20+. It reminds me of undergrad when a group of people would be commiserating a bad exam, on which the average was a 70%, and then you come to find out one of the biggest complainers got a 92% they weren't happy with.😡 I understand being an overachiever and wanting more when you feel you've worked hard for something...but think about the others around you before making hasty and selfish comments.

Must be the 5K hours of shadowing that caught their eye.

Just to confirm, you'll be earning a degree before you start school right?

While it is later in the application cycle, that doesn't mean you're doomed. Remember that the application cycle started half a month later this year, and many schools still have spring interviews - all of my interviews were in the spring last year after having applied in november. Granted, my stats and ec's helped me stand out, and I wouldn't advise anyone to apply in november, but it's really not to late right now to apply and still stand a decent chance of getting in. I would highly suggest calling some schools and see what they say.

Good luck, and keep your hopes up!
