Is canadian equivalency process recognised in USA?

Hi,

Canada has two ways for international dentists to get a license here -

1. the 2 year dental school program
2. pass the equivalency exams (so you don't have to go through 2 year program)

My question is if a foreign trained dentist clears the equivalency process in Canada and gets licensed here, is it possible to move to USA ?
Does USA recognise these licensed dentists and let them give licensing exams in states ?
