Is Dental School Startclass total cost estimate accurate?

I was reading through some of the schools I might be interested in. And I was wondering if the total expenses part that they have on there is accurate or not. Does the total expense include everything such as room and board(and all cost of living expenses) as well as all fees and tuition obviously. How accurate are those figures for the various dental schools?

Here is the link to the website btw: http://dental-schools.startclass.com/

I don't know if this site is up to date. They don't even have Midwestern listed.

They look inaccurate just by checking out Michigan's profile. Total expenses are off by anywhere from $5,000 to $7,000 a year. They also don't account for interest that accumulates throughout dental school, or loan origination fees. Likely tuition increases aren't accounted for either.

If you want accurate estimates of what you'll pay for each school you plan to apply to, I'd recommend creating your own excel spreadsheet. You can play around with living expenses and tuition increases, as well as calculate different loan repayment paths.

No. Someone used some of the data from the website to make a graph comparing total COA for all four years, and now a lot of people have the wrong assumption that VCU is the cheapest dental school. It isn't. It is somewhere in the middle.

The website uses old tuition values, and in VCU's case, it uses the undergrad tution.....

You'll need to go on each school's website to find out accurate cost of attendance data.
