Okay so talking with some classmates they are just memorizing FA listening to goljan audio and doing questions. Is this enough to get 230+?? I keep telling them to at least also read goljan RR path and BRS physio.....who is right here?😕

Hahaha.

I highly doubt you're going to get a lot of "FA is enough" replies on this board.

That's probably what the average student does to get an average score--but what do I know?

I would assume for the 230+ RR Path and BRS Phys would likely be a must.

You've got to come up with your study plan. Don't worry about what your classmates are doing/saying.

I knew going in that I was the kind of person who felt like they needed to have a text for each subject, so that was how I approached my studies - I read High Yield for Anatomy, BRS for physio, Micro made ridiculously simple, etc. In retrospect, that was probably overkill, but I think it helped me feel more comfortable (which was very important at the time).

I also knew friends who used very little text and just focused on the Q-banks. It seemed to work for them. But as I said above - you have to figure out what works for you. Judging from the anxiety that seems to be coming across in your post, it sounds like you think FA alone is a bad plan - so don't do that.

Everyone has anecdotes. I know a person who scored a 250 with just FA and doing QBank. He'd annotate into his FA all the questions he encountered where he didn't know the answer, or the reasoning behind the answer.

Then again he also did a boatload of questions.

As was stated, if you're not the type to juggle many books, FA can be sufficient. But you need to bolster it with tons of questions. It's all your personal study style.

I think the general consensus around here though is that if you want ensure you do well you need to at least supplement with a good path book (BRS Path or RR) and a good phys book (BRS Phys).
