Nothing wrong with asking for an update. Its the people who call every other day or once a week - that will seem unprofessional. Just be reasonable.

yeah i'd call too. just say you interviewed a while back and wanted to know if there were any updates to your application status. somene said this but be calm and polite and dont sound impatient!
