Right now I just got accepted to UTA, and I am going to a local community college. The two work really well together and ensure that almost all classes taken will transfer. So here is my dilemma and maybe this is where you can help me out.
1. I am very close to having AS degree, I know its more for looks than anything, but I almost have it.
2. The CC offers the same exact bio, chem, physics, and math courses that UTA offers, with the exception of junior and senior level, and the CC offers these classes at hours at which I can work full time and go to class after in the evenings. UTA does not.
3. The financial aspect is taken care of by loans, but it should keep my loans cheaper by taking the lower end courses at the CC instead of UTA.
So with all that being said, I have about 2 of each classes to take from what I listed up above, so totaling close to 8-10 classes.
Do you think it would be a smart idea to just take them at the CC and wait on going to UTA until I get most of them under my belt and then transfer everything over? Basically the AS degree is the lower end division courses for the BA-Bio degree. with the exception of geology. Any ideas, please. Thanks
BTW I did a major switch from pre-nursing ( so to spreak ) to pre-med. So I have about 45 credit hours right now, but the ones that apply to the BS drops it down close to about 21-25 credit hours. Thanks
