General Admissions & OTCAS Is it okay to have taken classes from 4 universities?

Hey so I plan to apply to OT school next year! I am taking prerequisites right now from 2 different community colleges, but I realized that there are no community colleges (at least in Texas) that teach Abnormal Psychology. Therefore, I have to go to another school to take one. I would like to go to my alma mater but to take one class costs a little over $1300 which is drastic compared to my $160 classes from community colleges. I'm paying out of pocket so I really don't want to spend over a grand for one class.

I found out that UC Berkely and BYU both have online Abnormal Psych for under $800. Although I would like to save money, I don't want to go to another school because another school means another transcript. So would sending 4 transcripts to schools be too much? How did it work out for ya'll? Thanks 🙂

I don’t think they care. I have about 7 schools on my transcripts from being in the Army (we move a lot) and study abroad.

I also attended four colleges at some point during my undergrad and had to upload four separate transcripts to OTCAS. I don't think that it matters at all to the OT programs. I have been accepted to Tech and UTEP, and am waitlisted at TWU. Best of luck with your application!!!

I had 5 schools I took classes from based on who offered what. It was no problem at all

I sent in transcripts from 7 different schools. And honestly, I attended almost all of them within the last 1.5 years (not all 7 at the same time, of course).

I got into all the schools that I applied to, so I can safely say that it is not a problem.

Yup, you're fine. I went to 2 community colleges and two universities. The only annoying thing is you have to pay and send off 4 transcripts to multiple schools and otcas sometimes

I have six schools on my transcript and an acceptance to a program! I don't think they care 🙂

just make sure to remember all the schools-- i completely forgot about one and the schools i applied to had to contact me asking about it (tbh, if they didn't i never would've known). but anyway, yea, no problem going to multiple haha.
