MD & DO Is it possible to pre-match (Non-nrmp programs) with only step 1

Hi Non-Us Img here. Let's say you had a very good step 1, but couldn't get step 2ck before/or after the rank list deadline (late feb). You still plan to take it before starting residency (July). Could you still get an offer from a program that doesn't participate in NRMP?

Non NRMP programs can do anything they want. So it's certainly possible. Whether it's probable is unknown -- it's possible that programs outside the match might want both step scores to consider applicants, espeically if a visa is needed.
