I am planning to apply during the upcoming cycle and am wondering when is a good time to request LOR from profs. I intend on doing well in my genetics class and asking my genetics prof for a LOR. I still want more time for her to get to know me, but of course, I want to ask early before there's a line. Thanks. :)

Like now is good. Maybe by March at the latest?

Have you considered Interfolio? I found it very helpful. You can ask for LOR and request your references to upload letters to Interfolio now. When application opens, you will need to tell Interfolio to send all letters to AADSAS. It would not take long. I think it took Interfolio about 2-3 working days to submit letters.

These kinds of posts make me nervous... Is it really that time already?

I was wondering the same thing. So with Interfolio, you can just give your writers your account info and they can upload the letters when they're done? I've narrowed down my list and I think I know who all I'm asking at this point. Time to get the ball rolling! Scary...
