I am taking my DAT in August, will it be too late to apply for dental school in august since application process already opened?

it's not too late to get your application in to schools in August but it's very important to realize the earlier the better

No, you're still very early, so don't worry! The end of early applications is like Aug 1st. The dental schools don't actually start looking at apps until early/late august.

While I definitely won't recommend applying when I did, I submitted my application November 17th, and I got in... but again, for most people, you'll want to apply by Aug 1st.

The longer you wait, the better your DAT scores will have to be unless you have a higher GPA, are an URM, etc.

I heard you can apply without a DAT score and send it in later. This allows them to have all the material and process everything once the DAT is received. SO dont wait until after you take the DAT to start on the application process.
