Is it typical for pre-med students to not take an A&P course?

I was looking at my school's course catalog and apparently they offer many classes that I think would be valuable to the pre-med curriculum but aren't included in it. For example, my school offers A&P 1 and 2 to Health Science majors, gross anatomy to PA majors, human anatomy 1 and 2 to nursing students, physiology to pharm students, neuroanatomy to optometry students etc etc. Are there opportunities for pre-meds to take these classes as electives at some point?

In my school, there are are few opportunities to take these courses for undergrads.

I wasn't offered any kind of human anatomy course at my undergrad. There was a comparative chordate anatomy (which I didn't take) and a human physiology course, but no anatomy.

I'd say it's pretty common to not have anatomy.

Very common. Unless you really want to take the class twice, don't bother.

Human Anatomy and Physiology is good class to take because it definitely helps prepare for the MCAT.

I am also taking Nutrition right now. I figure the more I take now the easier Med School will be.

Human Anatomy and Physiology is a great way for those who APed out of Biology to get the 8 hours of recent Bio credit. Also great for Non-trads (which I am).

For the MCAT? Physiology, yes. Anatomy, no.

I took human anatomy class for 10 weeks and human physiology for 20 weeks. Most of the people in my class were premed. So it's probably more common than the people who posted on this thread believe.

It doesn't really matter in the long run. You will have the opportunity to take these classes in med school anyway.

Oh, and if you think these classes will help you for prepare to do well in med school, think again. My anatomy professor and about half of my physiology professors also teach the courses for med school so I got an opportunity to look through the syllabi for the med school classes. The difference between undergrad anatomy and med school anatomy is astronomical.
