Is it worth it in my situation?

what's your MCAT, state residency, undergraduate institution (public, private, liberal arts, top 30, etc), and GPA breakdown for last two years?

Taking the MCAT tomorrow :scared:
State residency is CT (which means a grand total of 2 medical schools)
Undergrad done at UConn - public university

Last four semesters of college GPA-wise:
Fall 2008: 3.500
Spring 2009: 3.850
Fall 2009: 4.000
Spring 2010: 3.769

Some of that was more for my history major than they were science classes though.

So are you an upcoming senior, or did you graduate this spring? If the former, I would pack my schedule with science classes to try to bring that sGPA up as high as you can, and I wouldn't try to apply to med schools this cycle. If you haven't taken a ton of science yet, you might be able to raise it to a competitive level. A lot will depend on how the MCAT shakes out too, so good luck today! :luck:

No I graduated in 2010. That science GPA really makes me sad though, I will admit. I worked so hard the last 2 years and even my freshman year but one bad year of being sick and having too much pride might cost me getting into medical school.

I am retaking my organic chemistry courses because I got a C+/B- in the 2 semesters, but other than that, I think the rest of my application is pretty good.

I also hope the MCAT went well today haha.

Are you a science major? This is the real question. D:
