Hey I was interested in getting my masters in science is there any programs that allows you to get both at the same time a Msc and an MPH do they have to be done at separate times. Also would you be able to apply for both and accepted pursue both degrees at the same university?

If you want a MPH and a MS (in a public health discipline) it would be redundant because they are too similar. But if you want a MS in another field (say... like a immunology or something), it's a possibility. Although seeing a professional degree and an academic degree paired together is pretty rare. It's usually two professional degrees that are offered by schools.

yes I am referring to the masters in science in being a academic degree ie immunology or endocrinology, if you know of any can you post a link or would I have to apply at both separately. Also both are around 2 years, so is that done separately ie 4 years or can they be done at the same time by any chance

How about MSPH programs? From my understanding, these programs have rigorous laboratory work but also help build a solid PH foundation. The example I can think of is Tulane's MSPH in Tropical Medicine.

I can't think of any places that do that kind of thing, unfortunately. Maybe someone else knows?

But you could pursue a MPH or MS in a lab-focused public health program (like Pitt's IMD, http://www.idm.pitt.edu/).

So you're looking for dual degree?

Tufts does MS Nutrition + MPH, 2.5 years
Emory has a bunch (incl PA + MPH) (not sure, but the MPH is done in a year)
