is there any med school you wouldn't go to, even if it was your only acceptance?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Not really - just surprised at the random response. Does the fact that this board is about medical school make it too good for a comments section? Is that the point of the "it's not bodybuilder.com" comment? I seriously don't get it.

Please don't be surprised by randomness on the internet.
Too good? Who knows? Why don't you PM a mod, or someone who has more influence than a normal user?

By the way, I've been noticing all the +1 posts, etc in the forums? Does this site not have a reputation feature or a like/dislike feature? I've never seen a BBS without one.
I'm not sure that this is a BBS...but if you don't see a feature, it's probably because it doesn't exist.

Because I'm not on a mission to get a comments section on a forum I barely post at. I just noticed the lack of a feature I was used to from other forums and thought it was weird that I didn't see one here. It's not that serious. To me, anyway. 😕

The point was that bodybuilder.com is seen as being a more prestigious site in comparison to this one, therefore it makes sense that they consequently have more features like a plus/negative feature to judge user contributed content. On this site we share stats, numbers, and life stories. They are already more advanced on the comparative rating scale posting pictures of biceps, breasts, and creatine supplements. While we think about becoming doctors, they have already taken their steps towards becoming enhanced weight lifting muscle bulging organisms.

Now I have an inferiority complex 🙁 can we please get that feature? I know we'll never rise to the level of their excellence, because, let's face it, we're pre-meds. But it would help me feel better and (maybe) keep me from becoming a plastic surgeon in a (probably) vain attempt to contribute to their glorious vision.

ehhhh....yeah, probably. 😆 My partner and I both feel a tad uneasy in very rural areas. And honestly, I think I'd feel even weirder about it if I were male. Rednecks can be more forgiving to lesbians, IMO.

There are also suburban areas too...so there isn't just the choice of urban vs. rural 😉

I do agree that it can be a bit uneasy in rural areas and uncomfortable for some, which makes sense. Suburban can fit the middle ground if you will!

For me, urban cities are too loud and crowded...I like quiet places with more space. Plus, living in a overpriced shoebox would make this already poor resident broke 🙁

[Overpriced] Shoeboxes are easier to clean.

Touche.

Although I remember visiting a buddy's apartment in New York and felt bad that it was one room all cramped up and he was paying $2,200/mo for it! One of the reasons me and NYC wouldn't get along, it's an introvert's nightmare to boot! 😱
