Hey is there much PHYSICS on the MCAT or is it mostly Gen CHEM? I kinda worry since I havent taken Physics yet By the way, is it more PHYSICS II (electricity and magnetism) or PHYS I?

thanks.

Since the test has different versions you cannot know for sure if you will get more Physics or Gen chem. It is supposed to be equal, but it seems when I took the MCAT, the Physical Sciences section was more Chem heavy. But Physics 2 is definetly more emphasized than Physics 1. Good luck!!

I wouldn't recommend taking the MCAT without Physics I & II. The physics on the MCAT tends to be physics II (electromagnetism, optics, that sort of thing). The balance between physics and gen chem depends on the luck of the draw on which form you have (at least, that was so when it was still paper-based). When I took the MCAT in April of 2005, my form was nearly ALL physics.

There is a ton of physics on the PS of MCAT. Grab a copy of a practice test or something if you want a better idea...The kaplan ones break down each type of physics questions are on it....and it seems to cover all the basics. Def take Physics I and II. Though I have to say...I forgot all of that stuff by the time i had to study for the exam and had to relearn it.

It's usually the luck of the draw. When I took it, I got more physics than chem. Definitely know your stuff before taking that fun 8 hour (now it's 4?) exam. Give it your all the first time, so you don't worry have to worry about another time.

Good luck!
