Issue with professor /academic dishonesty.

I had a big issue with a calc 1 teacher this started during exam 1 I got a d this is the 10 week summer course after exam I asked to withdraw from exam she told me after exam 2 i can with draw with a medical note that I had.

I took exam 2 during exam 2 I wasn’t feeling well i had a lot of chest pain I couldn’t stand up my mom who an MD told me not to stand up because i would make the pain worse after exam I went to Er and the next day to ENT.


My mom who friends with the ENT doctor told my mom for me not to make any movement but the work I submitted was very horrible so my mom transfer the work only and the ENT told my mom give the teacher the doctor note if there any issues with the work or anything the doctor note will let me withdraw from the class.

My professor told me after exam 2 is graded I can submit the doctor note and withdraw from the class but instead of asking that via email she decided to report me and The three things for the report is the camera not being on par but i was in pain so couldn’t move much my head ,handing work late even though it was due next day and writing even though i have a doctor note.

the dean of college called me saying he can’t do much for me even if i go to trail i will loose even though i have a doctor note stating everything in general Yet the teacher lied about giving me a W I didn’t want to finish class at all I wanted a W and retake it at another time.

will this show up when I apply to medical schools ?

Should I contest this ?

the dean said it don’t show on transcript at all but they might ask it somewhere else and I have my rights to not show it.

Yes you should contest it.. Report this to the professor's department chair as well..

And yes if you have an eye a, you have to report it when you apply to medical school

I don't fully understand what was going on you sat for an exam while you were in a lot of pain and you should have withdrawn from the class at exactly the same time?And for some reason the professor was accusing you of cheating because you were doing what? Moving around, moving in pain?

Cheating because of penmanship,not looking at camera and submitting work late this was only because I wasn’t feeling well in Er she told me after exam 2 is graded we can look into a withdraw i asked earlier but i needed a medical note that took a while to Me to get.

she graded exam 2 very late didn’t have me a chance to send my documentation so hence i took final exam I did worse now my Grade an F.

they told me I should of submitted note before when i asked June 18 but its not easy to get a note from my doctor I was asking if i get a C- or lower if she can withdraw me she told wait for grade for exam 2 then we can discuss it so there a miscommunication.

now I have an F on transcript and retaking it again.

OP agree that it is very difficult to follow your writing and figure out what you’re trying to say and hard to follow the timeline of events. but it does seem like something you should contest.

it’s odd because most schools have clear policies on withdrawals and deadlines and usually the earlier the better.

*just a note for everyone else that might have any kind of issue arise during school, even if you have awesome profs and don’t expect any issues. while it’s great to talk to your professors about any issues you are having in person, it is best to also get any discussion, requests, and decisions in writing/email so that there’s documentation this will be immensely helpful you run i to issues, or someone changes things from what they told you would happen or what your options were.

you can discuss it with them in person then say something like, “ok, thank you. I’m also going to email you this request. if you could reply with what we just discussed so we’re both clear on the plan going forward it would be greatly appreciated.”

Exactly no one told me this professor promised me after exam 2 i can withdraw i wanted to see what i get.

now i got a lawyer to contest this since i got screw over.

It was due at 11:59 pm so it was 9pm est exam 2 hrs long so didn’t have time to email her it was during exam I was in pain she wants phone off now im forced to retake it again.
