When do we use the N nomenclature and what exactly does that mean? Like N-phenyl-4-nitrobenzamide.

OK! Let's start disagreeing on this thread now...haha

N nomenclature is used in case of secondary and tertiary amines, when you have substituents directly attached to the nitrogen.
N-phenyl indicates that you have a 4-nitrobenzoamid molecule with a Phenylgroup attached to the nitrogen atom of the amine portion.
