J1 visa advice

Hi all,

does anyone know what the procedure is like to get a J1 visa from Australia to go to USA.

Apparently there is a letter called ' statement of need ' that is required, and I am trying very hard to reach the right department in Sydney to get it, but still having a lot of trouble reaching the right place.

If any of you had success or trying to do the same thing please let me know.

I will appreciate any guidance from anyone.

Contact the ECFMG exchange visitor sponsorship program. They have a list of the respective offices for every country (and they are very picky. If the street address of the office changes, they won't accept the letter).
