I am planning to move to San Francisco in May 2013. I heard that job market for general dentist is not good at all.
How bad is it?
I have 2 years of experience,do you think that would help or it will be still tough?
How is the pay scale ?
How is the job market in cities surrounding San Francisco?

Can you clarify whether you are moving there for dental school or for dental employment? If its for school don't even worry about it right now. Things will change in four years.

The op says he/she has 2 years of experience so prob not for dental school.
Answers:1)Terrible 2)Help a little 3)Lower range 4)Just as bad, unless you go out a few hours
If you like it move there, just don't expect some dream job paying a lot of money. If you want to be there, and are honest, have a good manner, you'll find a way to make it.

Thank you for the reply, I am moving there for 2 yrs since my wife got acceptance in UCSF Dental School.
I guess I will keep my expectations low and see how it goes. Just want to make enough so I can manage it for 2 yrs.
