Have you done 3rd year yet? It's hard to appreciate how much modern US healthcare sucks until you see it up close and personal. Lots of ungrateful, demanding patients who don't pay a dime and yet treat you like you're their servant. Paperwork out the wazoo. H&P's, admission orders, daily progress notes, discharge papers, discharge summaries, etc. Long hours. Call every 4th night. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the nurses, many of whom are bitter, fat, and lazy. Having done basically a medicine internship, this has been my experience.
Being in radiology is like going to another world. You eliminate 90% of the BS you see in clinical medicine. You get to focus on the medicine, do cool procedures, and play with advanced toys. The techs also are nicer and don't give you attitude like the nurses.
