Hey all.....i'm usually just a lurker, but now am posting bc i'm just so, so nervous while I'm waiting for the results!! I'm just trying to predict what my score is going to be:
in order of completion
AAMC3: 33
Gold Standard: 33
TPR(forgot which one): 33
AAMC4: 37
AAMC5: 36
AAMC10: 34
AAMC8: 37

I really hope to get above 35 in the exam, which I found quite hard honestly, so what do you guys think my score will be? Thanks!

So what is the general consensus as to when the majority of SDN students think we will recieve our scores????

Well rumor has it (from someone talking to an AAMC rep on the phone) around midnight tonight or early morning tomorrow.

so what's the latests news? midnight, tomorrow morning, or tomorrow at 5pm? have any of you guys personally heard the news? maybe i should call myself :scared:

edit: i tried calling, but it's outside their "normal business hrs". i called the mcat registration number.. couldnt find a number for score releasing or anything

I was simply answering the question concerning what we *thought* the potential release time would be. I would assume that everyone has gone home at the AAMC, and it won't be released until tomorrow at 5pm. When I took the MCAT in Aug 2006 they released the scores at midnight... but that was after 2 months of waiting and with only two test administrations a year. I feel like they are bogged down with the number of August dates and that is causing the delay in our score release.

yea i think thats absolutely correct. in addition, it is also a AM/PM administration. I mean the August 14th exam just finished. I'm thinking tomorrow morning as the most plausible time it will be released.

what bothering me is that they didn't define a specific time, well if you can't release it on time .be a little polite and define another time more specifically.. like Aug 16 @ 5 pm.
not between this and that ..then throwing us to the tough waiting game because their unreliability

Have you already forgotten the information on the MCAT? specificity...form the AAMC? You must be kidding! For a refresher just re-read some of the passages and then there answers....the AAMC makes it all clear as freaking mud!

My heart beat has been up to over 100 per min.. for a day..
I think it is not SO fair for us to wait our score like this..

Just so miserable.. I rather jump out of my window to kill myself than dying from heart attack at this moment...!!🙁

I wonder if the " I spoke to AAMC and they're planning on releasing by midnight or shortly thereafter" kid was just trying to wreak havoc upon us🙁

No offense to us, and "us" includes me since I am writing on here too, but if you look through this entire page, it's *such* a prime example of pre-med NEUROTICISM! So I say chill out and you'll get your score within two days; we've all waited a month anyway! The most hilarious quotes from above, just to amuse yourselves:

"All they need is a complex mathematical computer that does all this statistics stuff...honestly, how long do they need?!!?"

~~~Ummm...let's see. I think a 50 would be about right for you. I recently wrote to AAMC and they told me that they are giving five points extra credit to the first person who takes the initiative to ask the opinion of his or her peers, which is a value that medical schools like to instill in future doctors, and the prime example at the moment is the disclosure of July MCAT scores. (Great job with the perfect 45 and all that, too.) Crap, I wish I thought of that first! Can I borrow a few points from you?

~~~Do you seriously think there is someone at the office at 2am diligently working to annoy us by not posting at 5pm? I would suggest treating others like fellow creatures, who, like you, would like to catch up on their REM sleep. They'll probably upload when they get back to work tomorrow morning.

So basically, all I'm saying is have some common sense people! And please don't take offense if I poked fun at your comment, I am waiting too...

well it's 1:42am my time, and I have to get up at 7:00am. Maybe the score will be there when I wake up, let's hope it doesn't ruin my day.

i just called aamc. i was told that about 10,000 people got 44-45 so they had to take an extra day or two to check it and make sure it was scored correctly. I was also told that aliens may have stolen the remaining exams and it could be a couple weeks until george bush negotiates to have them returned.

lol. It's also because aamc officials only know how to count up to 10 for incorrect questions, so they set a minimum score of 30 for everyone.

I love that I can come back and find some entertainment on this forum.

Ive said it once before...the AAMC website clearly states that the date they give for our score release is simply a target date.
Translation: Your score will be released anywhere from August 12 to August 18.

Their site also states: Anywhere from Aug 15 at 5pm to Aug 17. So instead of calling them and wasting their time asking when the test will be released and asking why they are making us suffer so much...patience.

Practice some jedi mind tricks or something. Another day won't kill us...at least not all of us. A few of you, specifically the heart attack quote from a few posts up, have me worried.

All in all, good luck, folks! Get some sleep, wake up, and start it all over again. ohhh, pizza! later.

Don't worry, while all of you on the other side of the international date line have been snoozing fitfully and are just waking up, I've been faithfully checking from my post here in China. Nothing yet.

It's like those guys who man the middle-of-nowhere transmitting stations out in Australia to keep track of satellites who are orbiting on the other side of the world...

Anyway, yeah. Nothing yet. I'll be on duty till about midnight...that's noon to you guys🙂

lol I am stressing out too, but lets not get paranoid.

I posted verbatim what I was told ("from what she'd been hearing"), followed by a "but who knows for sure." I'm as disappointed/anxious as you. Yes it was my first post, but I was only trying to be helpful. Shooting the messenger won't help much.

Seriously, I can't take this anymore. Why do they like to torture us?! Why....why...why....

Part of me already knows I flunked, but the other part is still wishing for a miracle. I don't know what to think...

If so, it's just rain. Thunderstorms are not a big deal in the DC area, and unless it's a tsunami, I doubt that it will stop the goings on in DC and employees from getting to work at AAMC.

You know, a lot of people say that, and it annoys me, just a little. Yes, we are being a tad bit paranoid, and perhaps we could be a lot more calm. But everyone deals with things in their own way, and instead of mocking others, perhaps a bit of empathy would be appreciated.

Besides, I'm sure it's the best time to judge someone's character when they're awaiting scores for one of the most important tests in their lives...

Good morning guys. I did not have a good night's sleep last night, as I far too anxious. I am appalled that the marks are still not up yet.....I would much rather find out the marks now where I am alone than at work later in the day.....damn
