Kaplan 2 :20
Kaplan 1: 19
Kaplan 3: 23
Kaplan 4: 26
Kaplan 5: 25🙁
Not the best scores in the world...but The last three i took this week after about 3 weeks of not studying more than 5 hours a week. Oh well...all i can do is try...besides i'm not applying to a US school...😳
It's kind of funny actually, my friends and I made it up when I was like 16, we were at a party in a neighboring town and for reasons I won't go into I didn't want them to know my real name so I told them it was Jatt, ever since that is what my buddies have called me.
Now it wasn't until years later that I became enlightened to the fact that a Jatt is a part of Indian culture, of which I am not. So if there is anyone here that is of Indian descent that can shed more light on the subject feel free. Also, if my name is offensive for some reason beyond my current understanding please let me know, it is not my intention to be disrespectful.
Holy crap, it's monday!
yea that's why I was asking....it's not offensive at all don't worry =)just took aamc10...13ps, 9vr, 15bs
I somehow bombed the first passage in vr about meteors even though I thought I understood it. Also, the last passage about fruits and figs and some other crap totally lost me and I missed almost all of them. I only missed one on the bs part...and it was the last question about the flat worm?!??! I still don't understand "conditioning" even after reading their explanation
The exam is on Friday. woah. Question - what are you guys doing w/ the remaining time? I took AAMC 9 a couple of weeks ago and got a 31. I was thinking about taking 10 on Wednesday but was worried I might tire myself out for the Friday exam.
Anyway, what are you guys doing w/ the remaining days?
I heard you should take Thursday just to chill out but I am not exactly sure how to or what that even means.

corbis, i actually just took AAMC10 and got the conditioning one correct. I think they applied two stimuli, light and electricity. Imagine the expt as this: You applied just light at first and got either no response or a certian response, which we'll call response type A. then you added electricity to the vat, and now, when you use light without electricity, you're getting a response, call it response B. Conditioning occurs if B does not equal A. That's because response B could not have occurred without the use of electricity, at least durring the "conditioning phase." Just think of what happens if u were to run a marathon (light stimuli) tomorrow; you'd die (response A). If you train, train, train (electricity) along with running marathons (light), and then sometime in the future you run a marathon (light), you might live (response B). Because death (A) and life (B) are different, the training (electricity) and marathon running (light) conditioned you to survive (response B) a marathon (light stumi) rather than kick the bucket (response A).
No Particular Order

I'm guessing swifteagle meant AAMC 8 for the second "AAMC 7."

That sort of looks like the June 14th Countdown Timer to me.
I think things like that show proof that there are a lot of factors in your grade. The way you're thinking at some point may be different than at another time. Sometimes the more you know, the more you overanalyze in the wrong direction.
Just finished AAMC10...dunno if its the fact that I started writing at 10pm, or that I was feeling particularly lazy tonight, but I'm not really happy with the results
PS - 12 (2 questions from a 14....2 very easy questions that I missed)
VR - 11 (was it just me or was this VR soooooooo hard)
BS - 11 (1 question from a 12 and again I missed a couple of no-brainers)
So basically I'm fluctuating between a 31 and a 39 depending on my mood it seems. I have AAMC 9 to go (wednesday) and a TON of concept review to do:S *sigH* only 3 days left....
ITS FOR THE 8:00 am for June 15th...not the 1 o clock...you have less time than you think....
Amilin: You're just taking Kaplan practice tests, no AAMC practice tests? If I were you I'd take at least one AAMC practice test (preferably 8, 9 or 10 since they're more recent) before the test on Friday. I haven't taken any Kaplan tests, but I've read on here from some people that they're harder. *shrug* Good luck, regardless!
Haha...I don't want to argue with you about your countdown timer. It's a good timer. But if you look at it today it says you have 1 day and a number of hours. It gets you to Thursday at 8:00am. Unless it just doesn't come up right on my computer.
It doesn't even work for me. It says the test is NOW!
For those that say that CBT 9 is easier than 8 and 10, I agree regarding VR, but for PS, it really depends on your weaknesses. And I thought the difficulty in BS was hardest in 8, but about equal in 9 and 10.
Just do what you would do if you weren't taking the MCAT. Do what you enjoy! RELAX!
Just make sure you get a good nights sleep WEDNESDAY night!
Last, don't look at any material the day of the test.
for most of the day.Just finished my last AAMC CBT: 9. Got my highest score yet, a 32: PS 9 VR 12 BS 11. One question away from a 13 in VR and a 12 in BS. HOWEVER I was also only one question away from an 8 in PS! I couldn't believe it, but I got a passage in EVERY SINGLE one of my worst physics and chem topics: waves, optics, capacitors, acid/base and electrochem. SHEESH.
I'm hoping and praying that I don't get a full passage on each of those on the real thing. I'm also going to re-direct my review over the next day or two to those topics and stop futzing with bio. I can hope that lightening doesn't strike twice, right? What are the odds of getting full passages on all of those on the real thing? Yikes. I'm really scared that might happen. But I'm trying to look on the bright side - I managed to just eke by with a 9. If I pull off a 9 if that happens on the real thing I'll count my lucky stars.

omg. im taking 9 as well right now. whoever said this was the easiest AAMC LIED. well, so i just took the PS section, but i'm in too much shock to continue. i have the same weak topics as you, and i couldnt believe my eyes when they just kept popping up one after another after another. at this rate, this is going to be a confidence DEFLATOR. now i will probably have to take AAMC 10 to make myself feel better. EEKS.
Phoenix, which one overall was the hardest between 8 and 10? I am in the same boat as you, and have taken all of the practice exams and like you too and was thinking about retaking one of them tomorrow. I don't think either will be too fresh in my mind because I finished them all by the end of March (in the meantime been taking the KAPLAN subject tests and I retook 9 a couple of weeks ago).
Which one would you suggest I take over/or is the most difficult?
Thanks for the advice. I want to ask you and also a couple of the other repliers as well a question. I am sure most of you would watch television (or watch a movie, or play video games, etc) if you weren't preparing for the MCATs. Would you do that on Thursday? Just curious.
I know we all have our own personal goals, but you SHOULD be happy. Seriously. This is like being unhappy that you only won 34 million dollars in a lottery and not 40 million (not that I'm saying your scores are pure luck). Sure, the 40 would be nice, but don't lose sight of the big picture. You're in a great position going into the MCAT on Friday. You've clearly mastered the material, and pretty much mastered the test. I've read that score fluctuations in the high 30s can be large because the difference between a 13, 14 and 15 in the sections can sometimes just be one question each. No reason to be miffed about getting a 34 on a practice MCAT. Especially if your upper range is 39. Just focus on Friday, and the MCAT gods be willing, you'll get your 37+. Good luck.
hey guys i think im dying
only a few days left, hang in there =) are you still finishing your last AAMC tommorow?hey guys i think im dying
