Hello Everyone!
Just wanted some help on generating a school list and getting a feedback on my application. I graduated from my university with a 3.0 GPA. However, according to the AMCAS GPA excel sheet, my cGPA and sGPA were about 2.8 and 2.6 respectively lol. I've been through a lot during undergrad and this will all be addressed in my application. Instead of feeling sorry for myself I took the @Goro approach and reinvented myself the best I can.
Post bacc: 60+ credits, STEM classes. 3.9 GPA
GPA with Pb: 3.2 cgpa, 3.1 sGPA
MCAT: 510
I wanted to reach that 3.0 threshold so i wouldnt get screened out from MD/DO schools. My last 3 semesters were straight A's so Im pretty proud of myself haha.
About me:
Im a black man, living in Las Vegas.
5000+ clinical hours working at a hospital. Lots of non-clinical work experience too
1500 Clinical research hours at a Level 1 Trauma hospital
200 + non clinical volunteering
75 hours shadowing various specialties
TA for Histology and Human physiology
