KansasCOM
Pros
  • P/F
  • Larger city, more things to do
  • Will be able to continue my hobbies such as figure skating
  • Trimesters so theres more breaks
Cons
  • Newer school

LMU DCOM
Pros
  • Established
  • People have matched into the speciality I'm interested in (EM)
Cons
  • Graded
  • Rural city. Doesnt seem like theres really much around the area, would have to drive to Knoxville which is a little over an hour away

I honestly came here to say not to go to LMU under any circumstances. It’s a fake med school. Their students don’t see and present patients on internal medicine.

But if Kansas is new it might be the same situation. Go ask the Kansas people what their clinical rotations are like.

Regardless, if you wind up at crappy schools- mature AnKing, seek out as many learning opportunities as you can, and don’t go into rural FM lol
