For those who recieved a snail mail invite from KCUMB, when you mailed the invite back, did you call to see if they had recieved it??

So far I havent called to see if they received it. I was just kind of relying on the USPS. I probably should give a call to see if they got it though. It might not be too bad of an idea. I was quite surprised when it showed up in the mail and I had not even started on my secondary yet. It gave me a chance to worry about my other secondaries first and then to just make sure that one is done before I have the interview, because now I know that they wont be doing anything with it until then. I do have a meeting with the dean of recruitment on tuesday at my university, something the pre-med advisor at my school set up for 10 lucky students. It was supposed to be individual meetings for students planning on applying to kcumb so i technically shouldnt have one but i decided it was a good way to get my foot a little farther in the door. It helps that I am so close to the school since I go to University of Kansas and only live 45 minutes away.

I called and checked. They received it! 🙂

They cashed my check so i'm sure they rec'd it.

Hmm i dont think you send money with your invite letter back to KCUMB, or did you???

I haven't called to confirm either. I'm going to this week. I'm glad you brought it up.

you weren't supposed to send a check with the invite acceptance. you are supposed to send your check with the secondary.

Yeah Lady, I would call.

I didn't call, and I was contacted by Margarita on Friday stating that they hadn't received my pre-med advisor letter yet. I would imagine THEY contacted ME because I have an interview coming up on Tuesday of this week! What's weird is that my advisor sent his letter a month ago. Maybe it got lost in the mail, but I think someone there may have lost it. It doesn't sound like the tightest run ship around there right now.

In any case, make sure to call and ask if they have everything. If they don't they will wait until shortly before your interview to let you know, and then it will be a stressful scramble for you to get the necessary items for your file. Think of it as 5 minutes out of your time one day for peace of mind. Good luck!

I sent it all back at the same time. 🙂
