So, like many overly excited psychotic freshman, I completely overloaded myself my first year and am pretty burnt out. It doesn't help that I now have mono (isn't it great what lack of sleep does to your immune system? :p) which makes me feel constantly sick and extremely tired. I am finding my motivation to get stuff done is at an all time low. I would rather stay in bed than go to class or do homework (which, according to Doc is what I should be doing to get better, but let's face it - life doesn't stop just because you don't feel good). I was going to volunteer in Peds this summer, but I figured being sick around a bunch of little kiddos who already don't feel good was probably not the brightest idea. Any ideas on how to stay motivated? Thanks! :)
