Hey all,

MS3 here shooting for a DO ortho residency. Did well on COMLEX Level 1 (700+), but ehh on Step 1 (low 230s). My question is: while on DO ortho rotations/auditions, if I'm casually asked about my USMLE by any attendings/residents, should I reveal my score? Or pretend like I never took it?

Just my feeling, but being honest is probably best.

We kept track of usmle scores for our applicants, but it really never factored into interview selection or ranking.

I think I recall once where we had two applicants for our last interview slot and we gave it to the higher COMLEX score because we couldn't decide (scores were drastically different though... 700 vs 500)
