Dubz on mothy:

There are some interesting moments here. When mothy was a wagon (4 votes), Dubz had not commented on it. PSV noticed, asked/accused, and Dubz's reply was the first post in the spoiler. PSV felt this might imply Dubz was protecting mothy (by directing attention to Pippy instead). I cannot really speak to that, but it's a valid possibility.

The orange things stand out. Dubz asked PSV for a confidence level about reading mothy as mafia. PSV responded "50/50, but it's roughly the best I have". Dubz took the "50/50" part of that and went with it, expressing she would have looked more into mothy, but not if PSV is only that confident. That's not a great look for mothy. PSV is being given an unreasonable burden of confidence on Day 1, and Dubz used that as an excuse to not only avoid the mothy wagon, but to not bother even taking a look.

I mean a trend emerges here.

Dubz town read mothy, at least in part, because PSV wasn't confident enough about suspecting mothy.

mothy town read Dubz because PSV suspected her and Dubz defended her.

PSV is being blamed on both sides of this dialogue for their respective town reads, and now PSV is dead. I don't think that means nothing, and it should be discussed.

Conclusion

There are concerns here. I don't pretend it's some kind of slam dunk, but I think there's good enough reason to view this doubt that vibe reading mothy as "noob town" is not good enough at this stage of play.

I want to give this some more thought, but right off the bat I don't find it that condemning..? At a surface level yes, but what was interesting to me was the thread state at the time. Dubz pinged PSV to ask about Mothy shortly after switching her vote from Pippy to me, which made the wagons at that point:

Zenge (1) - mayo 17
Pippy (2) - Zenge 89, Wilgy 77
mayo (4) - Pippy 50, JJJ 118, Nate 15, moon 34
samac () -
moth (1) - PSV 51
dubz () -
JJJ (1) - mighty 17
Nate (4) - genny 49, samac 102, Boq 77, dubz 107
Wilgy (1) - moth 62

That would strike me as a pretty chill VCA for a Dubz/Mothy team, not one where Dubz would be going out of her way to interrogate the one-vote wagon on her partner. I think, if mothy's town, it could have been an attempt to see if mothy was viable as another misyeet to keep in the mix. When I get my full VCA picture together I want to see if the Pippy wagon was already fading at that point. (And I'm wary of getting tunneled, but in a Dubz/mayo world, hopping to me while also poking around about mothy makes a lot of sense)

Do you think there was another wolf on you other than Dubz?

My head hurts, so I am not going to do anymore reviews tonight. I should have more time tomorrow anyway. Just a generic rundown of how I feel about the game right now:

Zenge, samac, Pippy, Boquise, mighty, genny, ||| Wilgy, Nate, mothy, mayo, moonster, Dina

Everything after the III is my POE. The colors are in order, but the names within them aren't. A correct POE of six (i.e., created by six town reads not including oneself) is necessary to be game-winning. There's a good chance I eat dirt today though, so it's not quite as compact a game situation as it may appear. For that reason I suggest other folks try to acquire one more town read than I did.

With Zenge's vote on me I feel the need to remind everyone that there is now a hammer vote in effect in this game, and it opens 12 hours into each phase (one half hour from now).

Even if I end up dead today, please do not hammer me before I have had the opportunity to leave behind my best efforts at solving. Hell, please don't hammer anyone before I can do that. Thanks.

Just the general vibe of feeling like they’re linked.

The feeling that Jay was pushing for my Dubz read as a packmate that pushed me over the edge to flip on Dubz. They’re paired in my mind. I need to follow through on that.

Which yeah I know I shouldn't sign up, but I enjoy hanging out with my SDN friendos

Because I think with this post, there's a valid alternate explanation where Dubz pocketed moth, and was also trying to appeal to PSV until she couldn't any longer. And moth could have just been responding to being the topic of both their conversations.

I agree, but I feel like there was a fair bit of pushback on my efforts to link them. Glad to see some traction, I guess.

With the dubz flip and looking back on interactions, I'd be really surprised if nate and dubz were w/w. I can't see a world where dubz votes a packmate who was being heavily sussed and voted for

Nate has not been in my village circle this game, but I generally agree with this. It's easily the biggest factor in Nate and moonshine's defense.

The few times I have wolved with Dubz, she has been all about controlling the narrative and making sure packmates aren't on the menu.

Probably didn’t pick it up with the search function or otherwise overlooked it. Tbh I don’t really take much from that post. It’s jovial and fun, and I like those things. But for affiliation or association with Dubz I don’t find it meaningful.

Your broad take about a pocket is plausible. That’s why I am not super confident.
