Last week of July vs first week of August - Advice

Im a Canadian student applying this cycle to American Dental schools. I've started studying for the DAT and feel like I would be ready for July 7th, but would I be THAT much more competitive (3.56GPA) if I were to take the test in the last week of July?

I know its a weird question considering its pretty much up to me, but I'm looking for insight from other's who may have been in the same situation

I'm in exactly the same boat. Canadian, similar GPA. I already scheduled mine for the 25th of July because spots were filling quickly. I doubt the extra week would make a huge difference, but if you feel ready a week earlier then you might as well take it then. If you need the extra week, absolutely take it.
