Late interview invites?

Hey Everyone!
So after another year of my allopathic med school here denying me, I set out onto plan pod which has always been an attractive alternative to me (no pod school nearby so MD was always my first choice).
I applied April 1, and it took one transcript forever to get verified and they finally sent the letter of application to my 5 schools of choice (Western, Barry, Kent, Des Moines, and Azpod) last week. I am wondering two things.

1 how long after your application was mailed did you guys hear anything from these schools or receive an interview invite?

2. Does Anyone think I have a shot ... Or did I wait to late?
I'd love to hear your feedback or details on your application and interview process.

You will get invites as long as the classes are not full.

You should have applied to Scholl and NYCPM as well. They have big classes and are most likely to have seats.

Have you considered applying to DO schools as well since you weren't able to get into MD (your first choice)? You have a DO letter so I'm assuming you have at least entertained the thought. I say this because DO is the traditional backup to MD, not DPM.

Anyways, your MCAT is above average and your GPA is below average. There are only 2 months left in this application cycle and most schools with smaller class sizes have probably filled most if not all of their seats by now. I would apply to the other schools with large class sizes (Temple, Scholl, NYCPM) in addition to Kent. I think you might be out of luck with AzPOD and DMU.

I don't want to be rude, but why would you apply to MD school? Any person could have told you that you were wasting your time applying there. You have too low of a GPA to ever get accepted into an MD school (at least in the USA).
But hey, I hope you get into DPM school of your choice

I have classmates who interviewed in June and were still accepted for the Fall cycle. I think you have a less of a shot at scholarship money though. Good luck.

If DMU offers you an interview, just know that you will be interviewing for a waitlist position. It is a lot of money to spend on travel and expenses. As of now, I am almost positive they have enough deposits to fill their class, so unless a handful of them drop over the summer, your chances are almost none.

I got an interview at NYCPM yesterday, my supporting documents were not all in a week ago. I know this because admissions emailed me stating that I was missing 2 LOR's and one transcript. My guess is that as soon as those documents were in their hands and reviewed I was offered an invite to interview. It's really late in the cycle I think I'm battling for the remaining few seats. Good luck.

So I talked to all of the admissions people from all of the schools I applied to initially. Here's what I learned :
Azpod -denied due to low sGPA
Kent -same
DMU-full
Barry - no callback or email back - just an encouraging letter
Western - app under review - several seats left

So in light of the three denials I applied to NYCPM, Temple, and Scholl... And got interview invites to all three. Scholl next week and NYCPM and Temple the following week.
I'm excited!!

The only way to know for sure is to call and ask someone in admissions.

I applied 3-28 to scholl and DMU. Interview invite for scholl offered 4-22. Interviewing 5-30. I have a late interview because I just took my MCAT today. Hopefully they get my scores before the June 30th deadline. 3.65 w/ 3.5s gpa, hoping I have a shot this cycle. We'll see.

From where? You may be in luck - I have spots at three schools and am sending two "no thank you" letters out tomorrow. So there are still seats for the motivated student with the right stats.
