Like do they look to see when I received secondary vs when I submitted and use that to gauge my interest?

I've heard that it's best to submit within one week, but the worst thing you can do now is to not submit at all. If you don't have money concerns, drink a couple red bulls, buckle down, and make it happen. You've probably worked too hard on everything at this point to let that stuff go now. You can do it!

Man, why you gotta troll like that? Everyone's a bit stressed out. I'm asking is there an implicit deadline. There's no way it's one week. If it is, someone tell me where they came up with that arbitrary value.
Point taken. Details deleted. Now can someone tell me, do they look at date secondary was given out vs. date submitted and does this factor into decision. For those that aren't verified, I'd suggest you move along and keep your mind empty.
I highly, highly doubt they do. Think of all the reasons an applicant could have for not working on secondaries asap. Work, family issues, vacation, etc. just get them done in a reasonable amount of time
My new deadline is July 26th (exception being for the ones I haven't received). I will have to treat this like finals week and Red-Bull it. I had been distracted with a 2 week camp where I got to mentor/teach some students. Now better get it done!
How do people keep up with secondaries, 1-2 week turnaround, if they get a bunch at once? I'm not verified so I expect to a rush of secondaries. I've been prewriting but not very fast...
I finished about 10-12 in a two-three week period and I was working full time. It can be done, but it requires you to be disciplined and work on them whether you feel like it or not.
Some folks on this board use last year's secondary prompts and pre-write them after they're done with their primary. That's how they get them done quickly.
Ah okay, I work full time too that's why it's been so difficult even with pre-writing

I think the two week turn around rule is way overrated. I applied last year.. and i completed some of my secondaries like two months after I received them. I still got interviews and acceptances from them (from very competitive schools too). I'm a slow writer, but I did put good thought into them. Just work on secondaries from schools you really want to go to first.. and try to finish the rest by early October.. that way your interviews will be spread throughout the year too.. hopefully you'll get accepted to your more preferred schools first and then can decline interview invites from others (save money, time, and effort).
You do realize that SDN is definitely not a normal sample size of pre-meds right?
People that submitted on June 20th still aren't verified yet and here you are, worrying about irrelevant stuff.

As smuscs mentioned, some schools (like UCSD, off the top of my head) have a set turnaround time. Make sure you check for those.
USUHS is probably the quickest set turnaround time that I have seen and it is 3 weeks from when they send the secondary to you. I'd say within 2-3 weeks is a reasonable deadline to set for yourself to get the ones you have received done. Mostly it just depends on how early in the cycle you want schools to start reviewing your application for an interview.
I know MCG "strongly recommends" (admissions language for requires) that we submit secondaries within 14 days of receiving them.
