hey guys...so i interviewed last week with LECOM and today my portal changed from "thank u for interviewing with us" to "The Admissions Committee has not made a decision on your file. We will notify you as soon as a decision has been made." does this mean bad thing or good thing? did anyone have this? does this message lean more toward ACCEPTANCE or REJECTION? please help me...any answer is appreciated.
we were all waitlisted....
drawback of late apps...
there were no acceptions given out
no...there's only 2 seats open...it was a very very late interview
what are your stats?

Interviewed 3/24
Waitlisted
Hopefully when the ranks come around, I'm high up there, since LECOM is my #1 choice.
i was part of the 3/24 group and got an invite, not sure why people are claiming that everyone was waitlisted.
I interviewed 3/24 as well.....I too was waitlisted
I really hope the list has a high turn over rate as everyone is saying. <sigh>
Has anyone on the alternate list been called yet?
I just got an email invitation to interview on 4/7. I'm extremely happy to be interviewing. LECOM is one of my top choices!
Hello all. I am also interviewing on 4/7. Does anyone know the setup/schedule for the day? I know what things we will go over, just curious how the day flows. My interview says 7:45AM - is that what everyone's says? Good luck!
No. Mine starts at 12:45pm. I'm also curious as to how the interview is conducted. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
When I went there were two sets of interview that were being done. I had the 12:45 interview start time. When I arrived the earlier interviewees were leaving. You guys will probably run into each other so ask questions.
1st thing you do is sign in with security and he will assign you a badge. You then wait in the hall until everyone has signed in. You will all have some time to talk to each other so make some friends. After about 10-15 minutes Lauren will come get every one and escort you guys to the presentation room where she will explain the day's itinerary to you. She's very nice and will make you feel welcomed.
After Lauren speaks to you someone else will come speak to you about the program and the school's curriculum.
Afterwards your group is split up and half of you will go interview and the other half will get a tour of the school. The tour group will go on the tour led by the Pharm students. After the tour the groups switch.
During the interview process you will be put into a room with your group and the interviewers will come get their respective interviewee. You will know who your interviewer is because it will be in your information pack when you arrive.
The interview is one on one and the staff makes every effort to make you feel comfortable. I know it is hard to do, but i really mean it when I say they are very laid back during the interview. My interviewer was very nice and she made me feel very comfortable. Talking to the other students I get the consensus that this is the case with all the interviewers.
After the interviews you are lead back into the presentation room where you are allowed a session of Qs & As with the current students. they range from p1 - p4 students. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have about the program or about the city here. This is your chance to feel out the school and how the student's experience with the school is.
After the Q & A session you will be introduced to someone from the financial aid department, where she will explain your options on how to be able to pay for school.
After the Financial aid session you will be introduced to the Assistant Dean of the Bradenton campus. He will speak to you and answer any final questions you may have. This will conclude your day. after wards you sign out and be on your merry way.
Hope this helps you. If any one have specific questions just send me a message. I know it's a nerve racking experience and hopefully this helps to ease the process for you a bit. The staff are very professional and they really try to make you feel comfortable.
I was one of the students who was put on an alternate list but from what I hear that is not all bad. They say that the alternate list moves pretty fast
Well good luck on your interview!

i have question about wireless network in school and around area. is ATT and T-mobile have good signal in school or around the area? thanks
Ptech, thank you so much for the information. I am a little more relaxed compared to a few days ago. Hopefully I will have a good interview and leave a good impression when I am there on Thursday. Good luck to everyone!
people who interviewed on March 24th, did any of u guys receive wait-listed letter in regular mail or do u knw if anyone else has received anything in the mail?...i interviewed on March 24th and have not received anything in regular mail...however my portal says tht "the admission committee havnt made a decision on my file and as soon as we make decision we will let u knw"... so idk whts tht message is leading toward..
Sorry to hear that you have not heard anything. I also interviewed on 3/24/11. I was sent a letter in the mail the following week and was wait listed. My portal status is the same as yours. It never changed.
I friend of mine that got accepted has the same status on her portal, even after she received her acceptance letter. It did not change until she mailed in her money for her seat. That gives you an idea of how often they really update the portal.
I interviewed in Lecom Erie almost 30 days ago and called them today. My letter was just sent out.
You might want to call Bradenton up and ask about your application. Lauren is very nice and she won't have any problem answering any of your questions.
Hope that helps
How did you find out that you were waitlisted? I interviewed on the 4/7 and this wait is killing me. I feel like I will be waitlisted too becaue I didn't do so good on my PCAT.Interviewed 3/24
Waitlisted
Hopefully when the ranks come around, I'm high up there, since LECOM is my #1 choice.
I interviewed on 4/7 and my admissions status has officially changed in the portal to "The Admissions Committee has not made a decision on your file. We will notify you as soon as a decision has been made." Ugh.... Anyone else get that or a different message?
My admission status indicates the same exact message. Does it mean we're wait listed. I want to call Lauren but then again I don't .
I had my interview on the 24th of March and just received my invitation
Im just curious, Did your admission status displayed the same message?
It changed to a notification that stated that a decision had been made on my file and that I would receive a letter in the mail within 10 days
Thank you! Congrats on getting in
did anyone who interviewed on 4/7 got in? stupid waiting list is killing me
Yeah the wait list is killing me
Hope it starts to move soon.
for anyone else accepted or currently going to school at LECOM...or even if you are from the area...what will it be like to live in FL? All I hear is that FL is for retirees and I don't necessarily believe that's true. But I want to be sure that if I go to school there...which is so far away from home...that I won't be totally bored!
thanks!
