I'm trying to rank my campus choices for LECOM. Does anyone have any advice? I'm leaning towards the PBL learning pathway, which both campuses have. I'm also hoping to do some research- is one campus better than the other for that?

Pros of Erie:
  • although it would be very rare, there MAY be a chance to switch pathways if PBL wasn't working out
  • maybe more research opportunities? there is a research facility but I think it's mostly bench research?
  • I like being around water
  • cadaver lab for students in non-PBL pathways, so there may be a chance a PBL student could get some exposure through a friend or in the summer
  • original/established campus
Cons of Erie:
  • farther from home
Pros of Seton Hill:
  • closer to home
  • maybe some research opportunities since it's close to Pittsburg?
Cons of Seton Hill:
  • newer campus? (but not the newest, so I think this would be ok)?
  • no cadavers
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

One could certainly argue the lack of gross-anatomy could be a dealbreaker. Hell, I remember a time when people would turn down school based on their student-to-cadaver ratio. There are a lot of opinions on gross-anatomy so I'd search around.

As far as home goes, we talking still able to drive down on weekends, vs taking a flight. Would a flight be roughly the same time as driving? Etc. You can always study on a plane / train x]

Can't really comment on the PBL and research stuff.

Regardless, congratulations! I've been looking at LECOM and it seems like somewhere I'd want to go.
