Less Abbreviations Please?

I must have hit a raw nerve by my riding smoothly comment. Thanks for stalking my posts across this site and remembering each one of them. Shouldn't u be busy studying in your US med school instead of memorizing my posts?

From your behavior :idea: i can tell my ride in med school will be alot smoother than yours tiedyeddog. I can see it!

I will work hard at whooping cocky med students especially the haters here that are having a rough ride but think they are better than everyone cos they are already in :laugh:

Can I pipe in by being a grammar Nazi? "less" in the title denotes a quality. The proper word would be "fewer."

Less is for an item that cannot be enumerated, but you don't want as much. "I would like less ice cream."

Fewer is for items that can be counted, and you don't want as many. "I would like fewer cookies."

The opposite end of the spectrum is "much or many," one is used when you can count the object, the other is used when you cannot. I don't want as much ice cream, and I don't want as many cookies.

Since you can count the acronyms, there should be fewer of them, not less of them.

Even trolls should know how to use words more effectively.

Very nice of you to take the time to explain this to me. It will really help me ongoing, sincerely. I look forward to writing and speaking good grammar esp. to my future patients. I can't have them laughing at me and disrespecting me cos of my bad grammar.
