I mean, these types of people who exhibit this type of distorted body self-perception, and just want to keep getting bigger fascinate me. As do anorexics which I view to be very similar with their cognitive biases.

And, these people claim to be compassionate and understanding, worthy of the trust of others...

I can only shake my head at some people.

Or maybe she is avoiding people judging her for being overweight? If she was normal weight for her height, she wouldn't be so defensive.

I find it funny to see how people are always against revealing any sort of information if they are not in shape/fat/overweight/obese. If they were fit, they would have no issue revealing this information. You never see a fit person get defensive, and they try to let people know once they become fit how much they were, how much they are now, how tall they are to put it in perspective, and how much they can lift.

I find it funny to see how people who base their own self worth on their physical appearance always do so to compensate for their other insecurities. You never see a person confident in their intellect and academic abilities post in every school specific thread freaking out about failure and remediation policies.

For the people who lift more than once a week, are you always tired? After I lift heavy I always feel like sleeping for 2 hrs, then I am generally to exhausted to do much for the rest of the day. Of course sleeping in the middle of the day and being exhausted will not work in med school. How do you guys combat fatigue? Running actually energizes me,( unless in doing a sprint workout) so I tend to do that more.

After a solid workout, I always feel more mentally and energized.

I think anywhere from 160-200lbs with ~10-15% body fat is a reasonable goal to set at 5'7

After a solid workout, I always feel more mentally and energized.

I wish I was like this; after a workout, I always feel like eating lots of food. Then I get drowsy and need to take a nap.

I've mostly solved this by working out in the morning before breakfast. Then I don't feel as sleepy because, well, I just woke up. 😀

But I hate getting up early lol.

No joke. Mornings suck. I work out at night, but I also work night shifts...

Phil Heath earns well over a million annually from professional bodybuilding. Keep in mind also that there are many many bigger guys than him... he's just the most aesthetic bodybuilder out there, hence the two time Mr Olympia title.

I'm not a bodybuilder, I'm a powerlifter. But bodybuilding is about being heavily passionate about achieving the most bigger and most aesthetic physique you can. These guys dream of being Mr. Olympia and do whatever it takes to get there. And that means a 100% abuse rate of steroids (every single one takes well over quadruple the recommended doses of a variety of drugs).

switching gears... i'm starting to freak out because my pre-OMM workout regimen has been going great for about 2 months but i've just hit a major snag. i was on the last set and rep of leg presses the other day and i suddenly got hit with the gnarliest headache i've ever experienced in my life. i got up and almost fell to the floor in the middle of the gym. every time i've tried to lift ANYTHING since then, or even walking up stairs, i get hit with the same thing. reading up on meathead forums i think i've identified them as exertion headaches. anyone ever suffer from these?? i was seeing some epic gains and now i can't lift at all 🙁

Definitely an exertion headache. How's your warm up? I would try a very slow and controlled warm up and reach a medium intensity cardio wise before finishing off. Before every exercise, do several warm up sets as well.

And avoid leg pressing! Terrible for exertion headaches.

Amazing what 2g test, 0.75g tren and couple hundred mg of orals will do for you. Combined with some insulin and HGH.

Using drug fueled examples of people who also have top notch genetics for a non drug user person with average genetics doesn't normally indicate anything accurate for the average person.

Yea I learned about the "telephone book press" from reading up on Johnny. Great for lockout development, and it's definitely helped me crack the 405 barrier on the bench.

Well to be realistic, he triple mega doses vitamin S at minimum considering that's what every strongman, pro bodybuilder and most elite powerlifters do (I've managed to obtain an elite total without drug use, there are others out there who have obtained much higher as well while natural). Olympic lifting it's a given as well but peptide use will definitely be more popular relative to pling/strongman.
