Letter of Intent to Cincy

I have already been accepted two both of my state schools, however, I have some interest in UCCOM. My state boarders Cincinnati and I would receive in-state tuition there and I have interest in peds. That being said, I would love the opportunity to interview there.

How much weight does a letter of intent hold? I would also add some things that I have been doing as far as ECs go that are not on my AMCAS or secondary. Also, what should be in the letter of intent if I do decide to send one? Thanks.

Fair enough. Although I do feel like it is a tad bit different because I have been accepted already... so I'm not 100 % "desperate". I suspect a letter of intent saying "While I know I have the opportunity to study medicine elsewhere (at a perfectly fine schools) I would love the opportunity to study here" might be different than "Hey its March and I haven't been accepted.... please interview me".

However, I do understand what you're saying about intent letters in general. That is why I haven't sent one yet. Thanks.

Pre-med vastly overestimate the power that other accepts have on the ability to sway an Admissions dean. If you have accepts from Harvard and Yale, that might do it. But from your two state schools? I'm not sanguine.
