I've searched the forum and couldn't really find an answer for this.
Would it be ok to send more letter of recommendation to AADSAS than the number it accepts?
I already listed 3 individuals and sending in two additional ones from professors and AADSAS only wants 4 individuals. Would it still forward them to the schools? And also, if I add additional individuals now, would AADSAS send an update to the schools that I have more letter of recs?

If not, should I call the schools and ask if I can send it directly to them since AADSAS only accepts up to 4?

AADSAS will only accept a maximum of 4 letters. No more. If they've forwarded a letter already, then you can subtract that from the 4 total. If they've sent all 3 you listed then you only got 1 left. However, if they haven't received a letter from an individual you listed yet, then you can change that individual to someone else. Besides, you couldn't send 5 to them anyway as the 5th person wouldn't have the instructions online, and I have no doubts that if you had them snail mail it as the 5th, it would simply be returned or not included.

If you hit your 4 max (you have 3 already and want to send 2 more), then that 5th, or 6th, etc letter you must mail directly to the schools you're applying to (or just the ones you want to get that extra letter(s).

The above poster says it all. If you want to send any more, you need to pick the school(s) you want to receive the extra letters and have your writers send them there directly.

Also, many of the schools say they only accept letter through AADSAS.
Would my 5th and 6th letters be exceptions?
Should I call them to make sure?
And where do I send the letters to, if I'm sending them directly to the schools?
The admission office?

I also have a question: If some schools already started reviewing my application, but one of my letters hasn't been submitted to AADAS yet, should I call each school to notify them of the update once the letter is uploaded?
