Letter of Recommendation** help

So I have a letter of recommendation from a specialist dentist (OMFS) that I had shadowed at his practice for 12 hours and I also went with him to a medical missions trip. I also interned/shadowed for a general dentist a few years ago for more than 200 hours that I actually didn't ask a letter of recommendation yet. Should I ask the general dentist for a letter of rec too or would I be okay? Thank you.

The dentist doesn't have to be a GP. I got mine from an endodontist and it was fine.
