Here is my situation. I spent over 800 hours volunteering in ED/trauma center, but the only physicians i worked with were residents (new ones each year) and a few attendings that almost were never present. For my LOR, my school does a letter packer, where the advising office solicits letters from people that I specify. For this experience ( a most meaningful) I had the ladies at the volunteer office write it, but it seems to me that because they never actually saw me working/ in contact w patients, it would be better having a nurse that knew me/loved me write it. However, I already have the letter packet request submitted and cant change the letter writers. Can I have the nurse write her own LOR, and sign it, and have her send it to the volunteer office to put in the middle of their letter?
For example, the letter would read, blah blah blah (applicant) got excellent ratings from all supervisors, here is input from a staff member who worked closely with (applicant) for many years:
And then have the nurses letter, signed
and then the volunteer ladies conclude their letter.
This way its only one letter but has the impact im looking for?
