My undergraduate university does not have a letter of recommendation forwarding service. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is any other way I could find such a service so that I would not have to have my letter of recommendation writers independently mailing their letters to the schools I apply to since they could be lost or delayed. Thank you.

I used interfolio.com. Have your LOR writers send the letters directly to the service. It is cheap and convenience since you can selectively choose which letter(s) to send without offending your writers.

I recently applied to and contacted all the DO schools (except Texas). All schools accept LORs from Interfolio, except Kansas City and Michigan State. 😡

www.interfolio.com

Well worth the very reasonable and inexpensive fee.

Spend a few minutes navigating around their homepage. It describes how to set up your account, and also has you list the names of people who will be submitting LORs for your. It also has several different ways the LORs can be submitted from the writers to Interfolio. Carefully read the fine print on the page describing how LORs are submitted to Interfolio. Again, well worth your time in terms of future convenience and ease of use!

That's strange. Like you, I applied to all DO schools (except Texas) and have been completed at every single one of them that requested a secondary application from me. Do you think interfolio.com put their address on the envelope? If not, I don't see how schools can tell that it's not directly from your professors/LOR writers.

Either way, it is a great service.

Your letter writer (or you doing it for him/her) submit the original letter to Interfolio. Once you receive the email from Interfolio that they've stored your letter, you then to go the Interfolio website and "create a delivery" where you choose which letter(s) to send. You type in the specific address of the recepient school(s). They charge $5 per address, no matter how many letters you have in the delivery.

Interfolio then sends certified copies of the original recommendation letter(s) to each address you designate.
