It's easy to get too caught up in the stresses of the application process. Between primaries, MCATs, LORs, secondaries, interviews, and relentless waiting, it's easy to go insane.

I urge everyone to take a moment and realize how amazing life is. How you're young. How you're healthy. Realize how lucky you are. Don't take any of that for granted.

Yes, we are all 'paying dues' investing in our futures, and some of this might not be too fun, but let's try to embrace and ENJOY the journey rather than just fixating on the destination.

Everything will work itself out. Smile and enjoy life. You don't want to end up regretting not living to the fullest when you were young.

Enough of my rambles. Best of luck to everyone!

I'm not healthy or young. Thanks for rubbing it in; now I feel worse then before I read your inspirational post.

nicely written.

I recently went through a transformation in thinking which is not far removed from the OP's outlook, which BTW, lowered my BP by at least 20 points, lol!

All you can do is YOUR best-not someone else's! Smell the flowers every now and again-it's the little things that matter in life.

And if you are passionate and above all, persistent, you will be rewarded in life.

life will be amazing after we get accepted!

Life truly is amazing. It's very easy to get caught up in how much every day life can suck, but taking a step back at what could be happening makes me extremely grateful. If you ever shadow physicians that are dealing with some real sick patients or patients that just have a TON of health problems period, you realize how good you have it and how beneficial it is to be on the providing end of the health care services.

life is slightly less amazing when you have a pharm final tomorrow. just sayin'. 😎

I'm sorry that you feel this way. Age is more of a state of mind rather than a number. I don't care if you're 80, you're never too old to enjoy life. I'm glad you realize you're not healthy though, that's the first step to improvement! You have a new day and a new chance to turn things around for the better! I know it's hard sometimes but if you make it a habit you will see improvements. 🙂
