lifestyle of EM docs?

I've read conflicting posts on this topic. Some say 4 days a week, while others say 10 times a month.

Do you have to establish seniority before you can get those 10 to
12 times a month jobs?
Are the salaries for the docs that work less significantly lower?
What kind of life do EM docs lead? Do they have family time or are they workaholics?

Each question you asked is based largely on:

Type of person you are
Type of hospital you work in
Type of area in practice
Number of years as an attending

And a few others as well.

Maybe asking current ER docs how THEIR lifestyle is.
